Read Chapter 1, Section 2 of the text,pages 10-15. Define, identify and/or describe the vocabularywords found under Key Terms and People (KTP) page 10. Answer questions #1b &c, and all of #2 and 3 on page 15. Click here for the link to the Write Away article about the reversal of the Chicago River. You should have answered these questions in class today using information found in the article: 1.What event prior to 1892 was the likely cause for the reversal of the Chicago River? 2.What was built to connect the Chicago and the Des Plaines Rivers? Click here for the Practice Physical Map of the United States to
study for the test tomorrow. Use your returned Political Map to study for the Cities portion of the test. Homework: Read pages H24 & H25 to review the themes of geography.
In your notebook, list each of the themes of geography and write an example that relates to Valparaiso. U.S. Physicial Map/Cities test is on Friday, September 5. United States Physical Map assigned on Friday is due on Wednesday, September 3.
